Post 3.

On last lesson we were cooking "Golden Syrup Dumplings".
For this recipe we had to to make the sauce and then the dumplings. For me it was a bit hard at the beginning because my partner was late for this class so I had to start everything myself. I collected all the ingredients and started doing actual dumplings because I thought if I would start doing sauce first and then left it on heat and started doing dumplings-the sauce would burn and become disgusting. But when I finished mixing flour and butter together, I started mixing liquid ingredients. As I did so my partner joined me and helped me and started making ball-shape dumplings.
In the process of doing sauce I didn't have any troubles except the butter melting. For some reason it took more time than we expected, but as it happened the rest of the process went well and we got really good dumplings with golden syrup sauce. They were really tasty and all my friends enjoyed it. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of them.

Post 2.

On today's lesson we were cooking pumpkin and preparing it for tomorrow. We are going to cook pumpkin scones. And today we had to cook it in sauce pun. Because pieces were pretty big, so it took 20 minutes to cook it until pumpkin was soft. Then we had to drain it and mash with a potato masher. Then we had to place this substance in covered container in refrigerator to cool. And tomorrow we'll continue cooking scones using pumpkin mixture. When we finally finished cooking these pumpkin scones we got these beautiful tasty scones.

Term 3, post 1

On today's lesson we were doing theory. Firstly we talked about all the tasks that are coming in this semester. Then we watched a clip about Australian national cuisine and how did it change during the time. We saw some food that p Australian Aboriginal people used to eat in the past. Then we learned what did English soldiers bring with them when they first came to Australia. We also learned how did Australian cuisine changed and what countries "shared" their ingredients and methods of cooking with Australia. All we did will help us in doing our assignment for this semester. We will have to choose a country and then talk about the country itself, it's cuisine and some more things. I think it's really interesting to research and study food from other countries and countries itself.

7th post.

On today's lesson we were finishing our assignments off.
We had to decorate the cupcakes that we cooked yesterday. I think al the girls have done a pretty good job, all the cupcakes looked gorgeous and the point was that all of them were different with different themes.
I had three different types of cupcakes:
1)with green icing and a cherry on top
2)with pink icing and 3 raspberries on top
3)with plain white icing and pieces of strawberries and blueberries on top

I think all of them looked quite, especially I liked the ones with pink icing and raspberries on top. They were the best ones I think.
The only problem we had is in our group we ran out of time and were late for the lunchtime for 5-10 minutes. We were cleaning the dishes and cleaning the benches.

Here are the pictures of my cupcakes without decorations and with them

6th post

On today's lesson we started our assignment which is decorating cupcakes. But to decorate them, we had to cook them first. That's what we did today. I did quick mixing technique of cooking. I think all the process went well. We were supposed to get 12 cupcakes, I don't know what did other girls get, but I got 16, 4 extra cupcakes. I took it back to home.
Other 12 cupcakes we stored till next lesson which is tomorrow. We are going to decorate them next lesson. As I said before, I'm decorating cupcakes with fresh berries such as cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries. And I'm also going to use three colours of icing- pink, green and plain white which is without any colour.
Here are some photos of cupcakes from today's lesson :)
The ones on the pink stage are not mine, but Danielle's.
